General Only pages 8-9 are dealt with here
8-9 This is a new costume design for Mordru, abandoning the dark blue look he was sporting up to now.
8:4 This scratching through the darkness is presumably meant to indicate that the shadows are tangible, and thus is a clue to Mordru’s “friend”.
9:4 The “friend” is apparently Obsidian, the son of Green Lantern I and former member of the JSA spin-off group, Infinity Inc.
“Friend” is only one letter off from “fiend”.
