Set against the magnificent backdrop of the Cascade mountains and the Puget Sound, Leather titleholders from across North America will converge in Seattle for Northwest Sash Bash 2010. Produced by Generic Leather Productions of Washington, the weekend will offer a variety of events including workshops and discussion groups, play parties, an evening of Leather fantasy performances, and a kinky pajama party co-hosted by Seattle’s Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. Northwest Sash Bash will give titleholders and their friends an opportunity to enjoy themselves without the frantic pace of contests and the stress of titleholder responsibilities.

Bondage from the Bottom’s Perspective.
Here’s something a little different — a bondage workshop that starts with headspace and works backwards to technique instead of the other way around. We’ll start off with a demo showing several different types of bondage scenes. We’ll pull volunteers out of the audience for this portion of the workshop. As we exit the scenes, we’ll ask the bottoms to talk about their experience and how the specific elements of the bondage impacted them physically, mentally and emotionally. After a short break Max will present a model for categorizing bondage bottoms and will facilitate a panel discussion on the bottom’s experience in bondage scenes. We’ll be sure to leave plenty of time at the end for questions and discussion. If you’re looking for a “beyond technique” bondage workshop, this is for you. Hearing what’s going on in someone’s head when they’re bound will make you a more capable bottom and a more creative top. Plus — you might get tied up.

The Portland Rope Arts Group meetings are a friendly gathering of people
interested in consensual rope bondage. Meeting are open to all rope enthusiasts and those merely curious about
rope bondage. Our goal is to promote education about rope bondage. The purpose
of our rather informal group meetings is sharing and disseminating information
about rope bondage. Attendees may participate in an informal practice on a
particular topic for the month or are free to practice on their own or simply
observe.
At this months meeting our own Master Snaurg will be showing us techniques
on how to tie ropes off to posts, furniture legs, rings, and the like. Dwight
will also be entertaining questions from the group about rope bondage and
rigging. This is a great opportunity to pick up some great rope tips from a
renowned rigger with exceptional skill and knowledge. Dwight will be needing some volunteer rope
bottoms from the group to help him demonstrate some of the techniques during the
meeting. Come and offer your body for the sake of education!

Drawing sessions at the Wet Spot give you a chance to draw dames in distress, tops with crops, men with men, and more. Whether you are an expert artist or a budding beginner, everyone is welcome to come and draw. Each session generally focuses on a theme and features one or two models. Sessions range from classic modeling (like you would find in any art school) to fetish / kink modeling. We try over time to have a good mix of genders, orientations, body sizes, nude modeling vs. fetish gear, and classic modeling vs. erotic modeling and kink. We’re always open to new ideas.

The Pansexual Whips, Mayhem, and Metal Night is a BDSM night of 6 hours of HOT, HEAVY play and LOUD Metal music… Death Metal, Black Metal, Viking Metal, Power Metal, Orchestral/Symphonic/Operatic Metal, Thrash, Speed, you name it! If it is Metal, it will be played eventually. Nights will usually be DJ’d, but there will also be the occasional live band… and yes, you can fuck in the mosh pit! (Or play, or…) If you like your play like you like your music — Heavy, Crushing, Edge Defying, and Brutal — this is the event for you! Throw her against the chain link fence / lock him in the cage / tie them to the A-Frame and do your nastiest! If we can hear the screams above the music, all the better! This event tends to be very loud — not quite as loud as the Grind, but it may be a good idea to have a non-verbal safe signal. Ear plugs are available from the DJ station or cashier if you like, and our staff is glad to assist you in finding the appropriate play space for what you want to do.

Events: Also included in the caledar are a selection of events primarily
aimed at the kinky straight or pansexual community, but approrpiate for
or welcoming of GLBTQ leatherfolk. Typically, these are workshops which
are not specifically heterosexually themed, but some play parties and
weekend events are also included where appropriate. Keeping in mind the
GLBTQ leather intent behind this calendar, we list events which have
an obvious attraction for and are clearly welcoming of the GLBTQ leather
crowd. (Many “pansexual” events really have nothing
to recommend them to GLBTQ leatherfolk: we might not be turned away,
but why would we attend?) Decisions about what to list are informed
by the text and imagery of websites and event announcements; if you feel
that your event truly should be of interest to GLBTQ leatherfolk and
