MAsT: Salem is a pansexual group that meets monthly for education about, discussion of, and support in power exchange relationships.  If you would like to attend, make a point of introducing yourself to either SilentType or LilMissAnjelle.  If we don’t know you, it’s almost certain you won’t be invited.  We try to respect the privacy of our fellow attendees.  It is not a “drop in” event, so please do arrive no later than the end of the gathering time.  If that is not possible for you, please wait for the next meeting.  If you would like to bring a snack (for yourself or to share) or drinks (for yourself or to share) feel free to do so.  Location details will be provided when we respond to the RSVP’ed folks.  Regarding RSVP: We try to respond to RSVPs no later than a week before the meeting.  If you RSVP in the last week before the meeting, please send a message as well because we will probably be more sporadic in checked to be sure that everyone is attended to.  Included in the RSVP response will be the topic and the location.  Our meeting will be set up as follows: 3:30–4:00 gathering time, 4:00–5:00 discussion, 5:00–5:30 visiting time.

WorkshopSome of the Demos!
Private location in Seattle, 6:00–7:30 pm / $15 (buy in advance)
Presented by Max.  This is a highly interactive event, mostly comprised of demos on attendee volunteers.  It provides a safe and informal space to observe, experience, learn, and discuss a number of kink activities.  After a brief introduction covering scene dynamics, negotiation and safety, volunteers have opportunities to bottom to Max for demos which may include:
• Rope bondage
• Electrical toys — violet wands, TENS/ErosTek, stun guns and zappers
• Needles / temporary piercing
• Pressure points
• Floggers
• Singletail whips
• Canes
• D/S and service dynamics
• Leather & metal bondage (including hoods)
• Cages
• Erotic hypnosis
Each demo will include some time for a debrief and Q&A.  This is a great workshop for anyone curious about kink, as it’s an unusual opportunity to see many different types of play up close and personal.  It’s also valuable for more experienced kinksters who would like to see a professional demonstration.  And it’s a great opportunity to meet Max and to do a demo scene with him, of course.  This workshop assumes no previous experience, and is appropriate for all genders and orientations.  You can bring a partner or a group of friends, but coming alone is completely comfortable and appropriate.  If you miss this workshop or want a deeper experience, Max also offers private instruction for bondage and many other BDSM techniques.  Class size is limited and preregistration is required.
This is an online event, modeled after the highly successful All The Demos event that has been running since 2014.   Max will have demo partners on-site, and you get to watch, learn, and interact remotely. Online event information will be shared with registered attendees.

Leather3rd Thursday Leather Social
Online (via Zoom), 8:00–10:00 pm
Join us on Thursday night for an online version of SML’s 3rd Thursday Leather Social.  We will use the Zoom video conference system, complete with breakout rooms so smaller groups can chat more easily.  Gear up, grab yourself a beverage (adult or otherwise), and join us for some quality leathermen time.  Gear It Up!  This is a *leather* (and such) social, so it’s time to break some gear out of the closet and drawers and bins — something casual, or full BLUF formal, if you like.  Rubber, puppy, uniform, whatever floats your kink boat that night!  Bigger screens are better, of course (we’re all size queens in our way!), so if you have a tablet or laptop, that’s better than a phone.  And if you can cast to your TV, so much the better.)
Zoom link will be provided to SML members via email and in the Facebook on the day of the event.

BikersBorder Riders Motorcycle Club Run
Squamish Valley Campground (Squamish Valley, BC) / $TBD
Squamish Valley Campground is a new one for us — group campgrounds are a little tough to come by in British Columbia within a resonable riding range and this is a private campground.  We will have their group camp area along the sandy beach of Squamish River.  It is considered rustic — no showers.  This will be an area we haven’t explored recently, north of Vancouver.  Leaving Vancouver a lot of the ride is along the water on 99.  Rides to and exploring Whistler within an hour, chair lifts are open to get views from above including a gondola with a glass floor.  As with a lot of BC, many oportunities for non-paved roads.
The board is working to plan a get together for the July Campout with the assumption that we may still not be able to cross the border.  More details will be announced as we draw closer to the date.  https://borderriders.com/rides/2020/6/27/mini-victoria-day

PuppyPDX PAH Puppy Mosh: Digital Mosh
Online (via Zoom), 3:00–5:00 pm
Come in all your favorite gear, bring your chew toys along, and munch on treats and snacks.   You can even wear the spiky collars and shoes that you can’t at our regular moshes!   We will be using Zoom, a video chat platform that allows up to 100 users to tune in at a time.  All you need is a computer or phone that allows you to tune in; if you don’t have a video camera or mic, you can still chat with folks and see what is happening on the screen.  This format also lets you create a custom username so people can see you by your pet or scene name instead of a legal name.  Notes:
1) Please wear bar-friendly gear.  Tail plugs are ok.
2) This will be a strictly 18+ event.
3) Please refrain from heavier BDSM and sexual play.  While we are all adults, not everyone is comfortable seeing that and you never know who may be tuning in on their lunch break.  Fetish gear, restraints, and light play are okay.
4) While we love squeaky toys and barks and howls, please be mindful of getting them too close to your mics.

WorkshopSome of the Demos!
Private location in Seattle, 6:00–7:30 pm / $15 (buy in advance TBD)

We’ll have very generous 8 ft spacing (beyond the 6ft minimum), five separate bathrooms, and otherwise the space meets or exceeds all OHA requirements.  The Dance With Joy ballroom has a spacious wood dance floor that is easy on the knees and spins like a dream!  There will be a maximum of 12 dancers per night in order to meet the social distancing requirements.   Masks or face shields are required.  We will have masks available at the dance.  We will have reusable water bottles for sale (plus Stomptown stickers!), but you are encouraged to bring your own.  We have a water bottle filling station.   We now accept contactless payments by Venmo, Paypal, Zelle ,and credit card.   We can accept cash but we cannot offer change.  If the amount is prohibitive for anyone, we have scholarships available and no one will be turned away for lack of funds.  Since there is a cap of 12 dancers, it is first come, first served but you can preregister to reserve your spot by email.  Can’t make it in person?  We still want to see your beautiful face! Join us by Zoom (https://zoom.us/j/449604231, and free).  We’ll be streaming the lesson and line dances afterwards.

LeatherSeattle Men in Leather Friday Social
Online (via Zoom, from Seattle), 8:00–10:00 pm
Join us on Friday night for an online version of SML’s 1st Friday Leather Social.

The LEEP Kennel is proud to offer a new experience at the Public Mosh: Mat-Side Puppy Training!  Whether this is your first visit to the Mosh, or maybe you’re just not quite sure how to get in on the fun, our Guest Trainer will be teaching the basics of Moshing to help get you comfortable getting in on the fun and engaging on the mats with all the other Pups!  Look for Mat-Side Training during the first 30 minutes of the Public Mosh in a corner of the Quiet Mats!

Leather Flag line
This information is aimed especially at the Seattle gay male leather community.  Some events are included which might be seen as non-gay, non-male, and/or non-leather; they are included due to the perceived breadth of people who may visit this web page and the crossover nature of events of those types with the gay male leather community.
About Out-of-Town Events: These events are listed below a green line for each date, and include both events throughout the Pacific Northwest (Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and British Columbia) and larger-scope national events (especially those which will be attended by some members of Seattle Men in Leather).  For out-of-Seattle events, we typically only list the most prominent ones (socials, board meetings, and the like).  Activity listings for those groups and those regions may provide a broader listings of events.
About Bear, Rodeo, CW Dance, etc., Events: As above, we pick and choose which of these events to include.  All Seattle-area events are included, but only prominent regional and national events are listed.  (As a rule of thumb, we list board meetings and events at leather bars, but not munches, non-leather dances, etc.)  Activity listings for those groups and those regions may provide a broader listings of events.
About Pansexual and Workshop Events: Also included in the calendar are a selection of events primarily aimed at the kinky straight or pansexual community, but appropriate for or welcoming of gay male (and GLBTQ) leatherfolk. Typically, these are workshops which are not specifically heterosexually themed, but a fewplay parties and weekend events are also included where appropriate. Keeping in mind the gay male leather intent behind this calendar, we list events which have an obvious attraction for and are clearly welcoming of the gay male leather crowd.  (Many “pansexual” events really have nothing to recommend them to gay male leatherfolk: we might not be turned away, but why would we attend?)  Decisions about what to list are informed by the text and imagery of websites and event announcements; if you feel that your event truly should be of interest to gay male leatherfolk and is not currently being listed, please contact us (and check the text and imagery you make available).
Leather Flag line
Send your event details to us. We will try to list all leather/fetish events expected to be of interest to the GLBTQ leather community, including both one-time events and recurring ones.  Include the event name, date, time, location, cost for the event, and contact info, plus a short description if available.  Deadline for sending items to be included in the weekly e-mail version of the calendar is Monday at 6:00 pm (Pacific time).  Items and corrections provided at other times will be inserted into the online calendar as they are received (and as we have time).
Disclaimer #1: SoundsKinky is not responsible for either the events listed here nor for the accuracy of the information included.  We apologize if we fail to include your event, but we’re only human.  Sometimes events, vacations, work, and life get in the way.  And you darn well better get it to us before the deadline if you want it in the listings!
Disclaimer #2: Seattle Men in Leather (SML) includes events from other organizations on this list as a service to the community.  Only events which are specifically hosted by Seattle Men in Leather qualify for the SML activity rewards program.
