PansexualPansexual BDSM Social and Experience: Hot Leather on a Summer Night
Center for Sex Positive Culture, 9:00 pm–3:00 am (party) / $20 ($15 for current or past titleholders in vest/sash), CSPC membership required
A leather play party and fundraiser for Leather Reign.  It’s leather night at the CPSC.  On the 5th Saturday in July, leather people of all stripes will have the entire space at the Center.  Break out you sexiest leather at this party — it doesn’t have to be street legal or meet the rules of the Liquor Control Board.  Don’t have leather to wear?  We will have Daddy Wendell making leather belts, Sam Browne belts, and suspenders.  Bring your leather toys or try out the new ones you bought at the vendor fair during the day.  Wear your boots and get them shined by one of our boot blacks which will include Northwest Regional Boot Black Scout.
The Main Space will be set up for play and socializing away from the dungeon floor.  This is also where you will find the boot blacks, leather gear, and our photographer.  At 10:00, the Raw Space opens for play with a “no socializing in the play space” policy.  Also opening at 10:00 will be a dress code leather social area in the Annex.  This is the one space at the party that will require leather to be worn for entry.  Here you can get away from the play and socialize.
The Center is donating 50% of the door from this party to Evergreen Leather Events, producers of Leather Reign.  Donations for boot blacking and photos, as well as the proceeds from leather gear sales, will also benefit Leather Reign.  This money will be used to help defray the cost of the conference this year, and will also help cover the costs of bringing a traveling exhibit from the Leather Archives & Museum to Leather Reign in November.  If you sign up for the conference at the event and pay by cash or check, you will receive an additional $5 off the early bird registration price of $79.

This information is aimed especially at the Seattle gay male leather community.  Some events are included which might be seen as non-gay, non-male, and/or non-leather; they are included due to the perceived breadth of people who may visit this web page and the crossover nature of events of those types with the gay male leather community.
About Out-of-Town Events: These events are listed below a green line for each date, and include both events throughout the Pacific Northwest (Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and British Columbia) and larger-scope national events (especially those which will be attended by some members of Seattle Men in Leather).  For out-of-Seattle events, we typically only list the most prominent ones (socials, board meetings, and the like).  Activity listings for those groups and those regions may provide a broader listings of events.
About Bear, Rodeo, CW Dance, etc., Events: As above, we pick and choose which of these events to include.  All Seattle-area events are included, but only prominent regional and national events are listed.  (As a rule of thumb, we list board meetings and events at leather bars, but not movie nights, munches, dances, etc.)  Activity listings for those groups and those regions may provide a broader listings of events.
About Pansexual and Unclassified Events: Also included in the caledar are a selection of events primarily aimed at the kinky straight or pansexual community, but approrpiate for or welcoming of GLBTQ leatherfolk. Typically, these are workshops which are not specifically heterosexually themed, but some play parties and weekend events are also included where appropriate. Keeping in mind the GLBTQ leather intent behind this calendar, we list events which have an obvious attraction for and are clearly welcoming of the GLBTQ leather crowd.  (Many “pansexual” events really have nothing to recommend them to GLBTQ leatherfolk: we might not be turned away, but why would we attend?)  Decisions about what to list are informed by the text and imagery of websites and event announcements; if you feel that your event truly should be of interest to GLBTQ leatherfolk and is not currently being listed, please contact us (and check the text and imagery you make available).

Send your event details to us.  We will try to list all leather/fetish events expected to be of interest to the GLBTQ leather community, including both one-time events and recurring ones.  Include the event name, date, time, location, cost for the event, and contact info, plus a short description if available.  Deadline for sending items to be included in the weekly e-mail version of the calendar is Monday at 6:00 pm (Pacific time).  Items and corrections provided at other times will be inserted into the online calendar as they are received (and as we have time).
Disclaimer #1: SoundsKinky is not responsible for either the events listed here nor for the accuracy of the information included.
We apologize if we fail to include your event, but we’re only human.  Sometimes events, vacations, work, and life get in the way.
And you damn well better get it to us before the deadline if you want it in the listings.
Disclaimer #2: Seattle Men in Leather (SML) includes events from other organizations on this list as a service to the community.  Only events which are specifically hosted by Seattle Men in Leather qualify for the SML activity rewards program.
