The Sindicate (5224 SE Foster Rd., Portland), 7:00–9:00 pm / $3 donation
The Portland Rope Arts Group promotes education and the exchange of knowledge about rope bondage.  Meetings always involve questions, answers, demonstrations, and discussions about the various aspects of rope bondage.  Most important, the meetings allow ample time for people of all experience levels to practice in a safe and respectful environment.  Depending on the attendance, we may split into groups, including: a beginner’s group who immerse themselves in a fundamentals class, an intermediate group who enjoy a class demonstrating and learning more advanced ties, and a practice group commonly referred to as the Chaos group.  Like the “organization” of the Portland Rope Arts Group itself, the Chaos group is fluid and proudly comprises unplanned mayhem.  The meetings are not play parties; we encourage attendees to interrupt and ask questions if they see something they’d like to know more about.

FistingFistFest
Cathedral City Boys Club (Cathedral City, CA) / $90 ($75 by May 9, 1-day and 2-day passes available)
This is a weekend specifically for and by men who are into butss, holes, and hands (and other related stuff).  So leave your friends who faint at the thought of sticking a hand up someone's butt at home!  If you're into assplay, this is the weekend for you.  Several tented play spaces are set up on the lawn around the pool to shade you from the sun during the day and to provide intimate spaces at night.  They are outfitted with enough slings to enable you to fulfill your every fisting fantasy.  The public spaces are continuously stocked with lube, gloves, condoms, pads, and paper towels.  We request that you utilize these supplies in the common play spaces only and bring your own stock for play in your rooms.  CCBC also boasts several of its own play spaces which are open for use all weekend: the “walk of shame,” the locker room, dungeon, and military compound.  The resort also offers several adult in room video channels which will be stocked with your favorite videos.

We are pleased to announce that we (Daniel and Craig) are the new hosts/coordinators of the monthly men’s kink party (held at the Center for Sex Positive Culture [CSPC]).  We’ve been given a free hand to reimagine the party  So that’s what we’re doing.  It sounds like a small thing, but the first thing we did was rename it.  The party is now called CockCircus.  We thought it was both to-the-point and energetic.  It’s a little silly, but we don’t really see the problem with that.  Also, if you say it fast enough it sounds like something else altogether more appropriate.  You’re gonna have to go to one of these things to see what we have planned.  Or, you know, stay tuned.

You will get to know people from outside Alaska who come to share their experiences.  You will hopefully connect with many people and form strong bonds with these people because you shared in this experience.  Oh yeah, and there's food too.”

This information is aimed especially at the Seattle gay male leather community.  Some events are included which might be seen as non-gay, non-male, and/or non-leather; they are included due to the perceived breadth of people who may visit this web page and the crossover nature of events of those types with the gay male leather community.
About Out-of-Town Events: These events are listed below a green line for each date, and include both events throughout the Pacific Northwest (Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and British Columbia) and larger-scope national events (especially those which will be attended by some members of Seattle Men in Leather).  For out-of-Seattle events, we typically only list the most prominent ones (socials, board meetings, and the like).  Activity listings for those groups and those regions may provide a broader listings of events.
About Bear, Rodeo, CW Dance, etc., Events: As above, we pick and choose which of these events to include.  All Seattle-area events are included, but only prominent regional and national events are listed.  (As a rule of thumb, we list board meetings and events at leather bars, but not movie nights, munches, dances, etc.)  Activity listings for those groups and those regions may provide a broader listings of events.
About Pansexual and Unclassified Events: Also included in the calendar are a selection of events primarily aimed at the kinky straight or pansexual community, but appropriate for or welcoming of GLBTQ leatherfolk. Typically, these are workshops which are not specifically heterosexually themed, but some play parties and weekend events are also included where appropriate. Keeping in mind the GLBTQ leather intent behind this calendar, we list events which have an obvious attraction for and are clearly welcoming of the GLBTQ leather crowd.  (Many “pansexual” events really have nothing to recommend them to GLBTQ leatherfolk: we might not be turned away, but why would we attend?)  Decisions about what to list are informed by the text and imagery of websites and event announcements; if you feel that your event truly should be of interest to GLBTQ leatherfolk and is not currently being listed, please contact us (and check the text and imagery you make available).

Disclaimer #1: SoundsKinky is not responsible for either the events listed here nor for the accuracy of the information included.
We apologize if we fail to include your event, but we’re only human.  Sometimes events, vacations, work, and life get in the way.
And you damn well better get it to us before the deadline if you want it in the listings.
Disclaimer #2: Seattle Men in Leather (SML) includes events from other organizations on this list as a service to the community.  Only events which are specifically hosted by Seattle Men in Leather qualify for the SML activity rewards program.
