QueerLeatherwomenThe Leather Party
InnThrall (Shoreline, WA), 3:00 pm–12:00 midnight / $5 (free for MAsT members, must join MAsT to attend repeatedly)
The Leather Party presents a queer-centered, fully vetted play party for the PNW leather community.  The Leather Party is providing a queer space that centers womxn, gender nonbinary/agender/bi-gender people, two-spirit people, and transgender men.  For our first party, we have elected this to be a cis male free party.  The reason for this is not for exclusion or punishment of all due to the behaviors of the few, but to provide an event that is not often available.  Many of our experiences have been negatively impacted by cis men in play spaces and we want to provide the opportunity for that not to be a concern for our guests.
PansexualMasters And slaves Together (MAsT) Portland Discussion Group
Catalyst: A Sex Positive Place (5224 SE Foster Rd., Portland), 4:00–6:00 pm / $5 (free for MAsT members, must join MAsT to attend repeatedly)
These meetings are centered around a discussion on a series of topics.  Although there is usually a specific topic announced ahead of time, we also discuss anything that happens to be of importance to those present.  All are welcome — you do not have to be in an M/s relationship to attend or even a member of MAsT.  Please feel free to join us if you are interested in finding out more or sharing your experiences about power exchange relationships.  We do ask that you are respectful of those present.  This is not a play party or munch.

WorkshopAll The Demos!
Private location in Seattle, 7:00–10:00 pm / $35 (buy in advance)
Presented by Max.  This is a highly interactive event, mostly comprised of demos on attendee volunteers.  It provides a safe and informal space to observe, experience, learn, and discuss a number of kink activities.  After a brief introduction covering scene dynamics, negotiation and safety, volunteers have opportunities to bottom to Max for demos which may include:
• Rope bondage
• Electrical toys — violet wands, TENS/ErosTek, stun guns and zappers
• Needles / temporary piercing
• Pressure points
• Floggers
• Singletail whips
• Canes
• D/S and service dynamics
• Leather & metal bondage (including hoods)
• Cages
• Erotic hypnosis
Each demo will include some time for a debrief and Q&A.  This is a great workshop for anyone curious about kink, as it’s an unusual opportunity to see many different types of play up close and personal.  It’s also valuable for more experienced kinksters who would like to see a professional demonstration.  And it’s a great opportunity to meet Max and to do a demo scene with him, of course.  This workshop assumes no previous experience, and is appropriate for all genders and orientations.  You can bring a partner or a group of friends, but coming alone is completely comfortable and appropriate.  If you miss this workshop or want a deeper experience, Max also offers private instruction for bondage and many other BDSM techniques.  Class size is limited and preregistration is required.

This is a skill share activity.  There is no predetermined technical instruction set up for each practice.  On occasion, a mini-workshop is offered by an experienced whip enthusiast to highlight something they find interesting and wish to share.  For those that are new or nearly new to whips, and do not own a whip, there is often an extra whip or two that can be borrowed.  Where other participants in attendance are willing, you may get to experience throwing their whips if you ask nicely (depending upon their preference to share or not).  Some of us are quite partial to our whips, ya know!  Bring your juice or caffeinated beverages as you will get thirsty during practice.  Water is provided as well a plastic cups but you may want to provide your own container.  It is requested that alcoholic beverages be left at home.  MVK, which sponsors this event, the venue (Wise Hall) and/or the host(ess) assume no responsibility for any injuries incurred while attending the practice.  It is entirely at the attendee’s risk.

WorkshopBondage for Sex
Gallery Erato (309 1st Ave. S, Seattle), 1:00–4:00 pm / $60 per duo (buy online)
Sex is what first drew many of us to bondage, and combining sex with bondage is still one of our favorite things.  All too often, though, erotic bondage ends up being awkward and frustrating.  This class will teach you bondage that immobilizes your partner while leaving them exposed and accessible.  We’ll begin with a set of ties and techniques for immobilizing every part of your partner’s body.  These building blocks can be combined in a wide variety of ways to hold your partner still in whatever position works best for your favorite mischief.  Different types of mischief call for different positions, so we’ll take an in depth look at four of our favorite sex positions, each of which is adaptable to a wide range of activities and body types.  No matter what your genders or what kind of sex you and your partner prefer, you’ll learn practical skills that will improve your sex life as well as making you a better and more effective rigger.
This is an intermediate level class.  You should be familiar with basic kink concepts and should be able to tie a single column tie.  You will need to bring your own rope to this class.  We recommend at least two 10-15′ lengths and at least one 20-30′ length.  You can attend on your own, but it’s more fun if you bring a partner.  All sexes, genders, ethnicities, sexual orientations, relationship orientations welcome and celebrated.

Seattle Men in Leather’s monthly Leather Brunch returns!  We will be holding this at the Backyard space at/behind Rookies in Columbia City on the 1st Sunday of the month for the rest of this year.  The Backyard promises an off-the-menu brunch with a few standard brunch items with a touch of BBQ theme.  We will have 4-5 tables reserved for us initially (for about 20 people), but can expand if more people show up.  (We don’t have the entire space… yet.  If enough people show up…)  Street parking is available in the neighborhood, including a $2 pay lot across the street.  The #7 bus runs through Columbia City, and the LINK light rail stop is only a few blocks away.  There is no dress code for the brunch, but Gear It Up anyway and make the space our own.  (But remember: No Shirt No Shoes No Service also means you need to wear pants [or equivalent], so no butt cheeks.)  The space does not open until 10 am, so we have set the start time at 10:15.  The Backyard will host a viewing of the Seahawks games starting at 1 pm, so there will be a crowd change around 12:30 on game days.

QueerPDX Queer Munch
Radio Room (1101 NE Alberta, Portland), 6:00–8:00 pm
This munch is for anyone who identifies as queer and their partners.  By queer, we mean gay men, lesbians, fags, dykes, bisexuals, pansexuals, and polysexuals along with transfolk, those who are genderqueer, gender flexible, gender fluid, and gender fuckers.  If the word queer feels like home for part of you or all of you, you are welcome.  And when we say “partner” , we mean everything from play partners to life partners.  The Portland Queer Munch will happen every month on the first or second Thursday (depending on scheduling options).
The space is wheelchair accessible and the menu has lots of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options (and all clearly labeled!).  There is plenty of free street parking and the 72 bus will drop you off within a block of The Radio Room.  The munch will meet on the main floor instead of in the lounge areas so that we won’t be limited to 21+.  This does mean that we can’t be too demonstrative about our kink so as not to scare off their other patrons, but the venue is completely aware of what our group is about and is happy to have us there!  Please buy something to support the venue so that they’ll keep having us back.  They do know that not everyone will be ordering food/eating full meals, but please do get a drink or a snack.  Bottomless coffee is $2, and an order of fries is $3, to give you an idea of the prices.

PansexualWorkshopLeather Reign
Private location in the Seattle area / $150 ($275 for "full meal deal")
Leather Reign is a Leather/BDSM/Kink conference in the Seattle area focused on "making the most of our kink."  Seattle area is very well covered when it comes to the introductory “how-to” topics.  Leather Reign is intended to supplement these topics with three core areas:
• Why we do what we do, what is in it for us? — This may involve some technique, but the focus will be on why it is done instead of how.
• Dominance and submission/Mastery and slavery/service topics — These topics will include subjects such as the way relationships are structured, the calling to a BDSM role, the formalities of service etc
• How-to at the 201 level and above — These will include different forms of edge play, advanced techniques, or creative forms of BDSM.
Leather Reign invites both a) new speakers with new perspectives and b) favored speakers from past conferences, offering new ideas, experienced perspectives, and interesting discussions.  We provide an environment that facilitates personal growth for everyone as well as developing the community as a whole.  Come join us!

Others have created their own local or regional clubs, and several have started their own feeder contests to help support Mr. International Rubber.  Over the many years that Mr. International Rubber has existed, we have seen a significant growth in the rubber community and clubs that support the rubber community.  The majority of those rubber specific clubs have a direct connection to the Mr. International Rubber contest and organization in some direct way.

Join folks from the local kink and leather communities as we gather together for some great conversation over a glass of your favorite beverage or a hot slice of pizza.  Meet new folks, catch up with old friends, share information, techniques, skills, and the like.  This open event is a great way to find out about local events, parties, or to just grow your own personal network.  No guided discussions, no presentations, just relaxed conversation with some great folks.  This event is held twice monthly, on the 2nd and 4th thursdays, at one of Tacoma’s favorite pizza joints, Puget Sound Pizza.  While it is open to the public, we tend to take over the entire lower bar.  Dress is casual public.  Eating dinner is not required and tips are appreciated.  NOTE: This is an 18+ event and not a topic discussion group.  If this is your first time attending please say hello to our host Sir Doug so that he can properly welcome you!  If you don’t see Sir Doug around, please introduce yourself to any of the SSLA Members in attendance (we are usually wearing a leather vest with a SSLA patch on the back) or our surrogate co-host, Maxx who also hosts the Kinky Cocktails & Karaoke afterwards.  We want to have the opportunity to say hello, welcome you, and answer any questions that you might have!
LeatherwomenWomen’s Rope Enthusiasts Group
Gallery Erato (309 1st Ave. S, Seattle), 6:00–8:30 pm / $5–10 donation
Come to a women-centered Rope Enthusiast Group.  Practice ties, show off new ties, ask questions about rope practices and issues in a warm and fun environment focused on women tops, bottoms, and switches.  Or just hang out and socialize!  There is a lot of experience here and all the support and encouragement you could ask for!  If you knit and want to bring your knitting, go right ahead!  It is, after all just really small rope, right?  Similar to other rope enthusiast groups, WREG is a place for the ladies to work on their rope bondage skills and techniques.  It is a place for our community to practice, learn, and share.  We encourage you to bring books, questions, friends — anything that will help facilitate your learning.  WREG is open to everyone but with a primary focus on women and female-identified folks.  Men and male-identified folks are welcome to act as practice bottoms for rope work.  Also, chocolate.  If you want to bring something to share, bring chocolate.  It is always appreciated.

LeatherwomenQueer Women’s Social
Cuff Complex (1533 13th Ave., Seattle), 7:00–10:00 pm
This woman-centric event puts queer leather women to the front!  Women need a place that can be uplifting and empowering to them and now we have it!  If you are a queer woman and enjoy spending time with other queer women, you and your queer guests are welcome.  Invited guests do not need to identify as women but must attend with women.  Many of us want a women’s space that simultaneously is for us while allowing space for those we care about.  Above all else, this is a space for and by queer women.  While that includes allowing space for the partners and close friends of women, please be respectful of the women centric nature of the space.  While this event can run past 11:00 pm, the atmosphere can switch on weekends and we may not be able to maintain a woman centric space later in the evening.  As this monthly event grows, we will have the opportunity to provide space for queer women’s organizations and events to host each month’s social, increasing awareness of events and spaces that might be unknown but of interest to leather women while providing opportunities to expand, fundraise, and have fun!  If you are interested in hosting a monthly social and are a club, organization, or event focused on women in the LGBTQ+ and leather communities, please reach out!  We would love to share space with you!

The Olympians are a social club for gay (and straight but not narrow) men who enjoy the freedom which comes with nudity.  The group gets together in whole or in part on a monthly basis.  We call these “events”.  They are not necessarily “parties” but potluck functions, which consist of a meal and dessert, followed with social interaction and “other” forms of contact, including physical.  These events are usually hosted in the homes of Olympians’ members, but a few times a year held in a rented space, with complete respect to be given to the owner’s property at all times.  We always want the events to be a pleasant experience, as sharing the company of several other nude men can be.   Pool and outdoor patio.

Men Tying Men is a rope bondage enthusiast group for men and for people with lived experience as men.  Its aim is to be an excellent place for us to share bondage techniques and resources and to bring our latest projects for feedback and troubleshooting.  Not a play party (clothes are required), but a chance to talk bondage, to practice bondage, to learn and teach bondage and to network with other bondage obsessives.  Men of all experience levels are welcome — including those with zero practical experience.  The facilitators will always be available to answer questions and to gently guide the conversation.  Single men, couples, and groups are welcome.  We will always try to make sure that everyone who wants to join in at practice times will have that opportunity.  Our venue is Gallery Erato. It has great wrestling mats for our floor work, places to sit during our discussions and hard points for suspension practice.  It’s perfect for what we need.
Men Tying Men meets on the 3rd Wednesday of the 2nd month of each quarter: February 20, May 15, August 21, and November 20 in 2019.

WorkshopAll The Demos! TBD

This information is aimed especially at the Seattle gay male leather community.  Some events are included which might be seen as non-gay, non-male, and/or non-leather; they are included due to the perceived breadth of people who may visit this web page and the crossover nature of events of those types with the gay male leather community.
About Out-of-Town Events: These events are listed below a green line for each date, and include both events throughout the Pacific Northwest (Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and British Columbia) and larger-scope national events (especially those which will be attended by some members of Seattle Men in Leather).  For out-of-Seattle events, we typically only list the most prominent ones (socials, board meetings, and the like).  Activity listings for those groups and those regions may provide a broader listings of events.
About Bear, Rodeo, CW Dance, etc., Events: As above, we pick and choose which of these events to include.  All Seattle-area events are included, but only prominent regional and national events are listed.  (As a rule of thumb, we list board meetings and events at leather bars, but not munches, non-leather dances, etc.)  Activity listings for those groups and those regions may provide a broader listings of events.
About Pansexual and Workshop Events: Also included in the calendar are a selection of events primarily aimed at the kinky straight or pansexual community, but appropriate for or welcoming of gay male (and GLBTQ) leatherfolk. Typically, these are workshops which are not specifically heterosexually themed, but a fewplay parties and weekend events are also included where appropriate. Keeping in mind the gay male leather intent behind this calendar, we list events which have an obvious attraction for and are clearly welcoming of the gay male leather crowd.  (Many “pansexual” events really have nothing to recommend them to gay male leatherfolk: we might not be turned away, but why would we attend?)  Decisions about what to list are informed by the text and imagery of websites and event announcements; if you feel that your event truly should be of interest to gay male leatherfolk and is not currently being listed, please contact us (and check the text and imagery you make available).

Send your event details to us. We will try to list all leather/fetish events expected to be of interest to the GLBTQ leather community, including both one-time events and recurring ones.  Include the event name, date, time, location, cost for the event, and contact info, plus a short description if available.  Deadline for sending items to be included in the weekly e-mail version of the calendar is Monday at 6:00 pm (Pacific time).  Items and corrections provided at other times will be inserted into the online calendar as they are received (and as we have time).
Disclaimer #1: SoundsKinky is not responsible for either the events listed here nor for the accuracy of the information included.  We apologize if we fail to include your event, but we’re only human.  Sometimes events, vacations, work, and life get in the way.  And you darn well better get it to us before the deadline if you want it in the listings!
Disclaimer #2: Seattle Men in Leather (SML) includes events from other organizations on this list as a service to the community.  Only events which are specifically hosted by Seattle Men in Leather qualify for the SML activity rewards program.
