LeatherwomenSeattle Women in Leather Social and Meeting DARK
Quarterly meetings: 2nd Monday of January, April, July, and October.
WorkshopSome of the Demos!
Onine via TBD (from Seattle), 7:00–8:30 pm / $15 (buy in advance)
Presented by Max.  This is a highly interactive event, mostly comprised of demos on attendee volunteers.  It provides a safe and informal space to observe, experience, learn, and discuss a number of kink activities.  After a brief introduction covering scene dynamics, negotiation and safety, volunteers have opportunities to bottom to Max for demos which may include:
• Rope bondage
• Electrical toys — violet wands, TENS/ErosTek, stun guns and zappers
• Needles / temporary piercing
• Pressure points
• Floggers
• Singletail whips
• Canes
• D/S and service dynamics
• Leather & metal bondage (including hoods)
• Cages
• Erotic hypnosis
Each demo will include some time for a debrief and Q&A.  This is a great workshop for anyone curious about kink, as it’s an unusual opportunity to see many different types of play up close and personal.  It’s also valuable for more experienced kinksters who would like to see a professional demonstration.  And it’s a great opportunity to meet Max and to do a demo scene with him, of course.  This workshop assumes no previous experience, and is appropriate for all genders and orientations.  You can bring a partner or a group of friends, but coming alone is completely comfortable and appropriate.  If you miss this workshop or want a deeper experience, Max also offers private instruction for bondage and many other BDSM techniques.  Class size is limited and preregistration is required.
This is an online event, modeled after the highly successful All The Demos event that has been running since 2014.  Max will have demo partners on-site, and you get to watch, learn, and interact remotely. Online event information will be shared with registered attendees.

Country-Western DanceRain Country Line Dancing
All Pilgrims Church (500 Broadway Ave E [enter on Republican], Seattle), 7:00–9:00 pm with lesson @ 7:30 pm
Lessons: Recaps of your favorites / DJ: Jim
We’re back!  In person!  Line Dancing!  Vax required!  Big space, wooden dance floor! 5 minute walk from Capitol Hill light rail!  (Seriously: if parking is an issue for you on Capitol Hill, park near a light rail station and take the train in!)  No lesson this week, since we know some of you haven’t done much if any line dancing in over a year, so we will just catch you up with quick recaps of your faves.  Vaxxed only — please bring your ID and either your proof of vaccination card or a photo on your phone. All info must be visible, name must match your ID, and you must be 2 weeks past your full vaccination shot date.  (Rain Country will only retain your name and that you are properly vaxxed, to be used for admission to future RCDA events. Like the Pride Dance on Friday June 18.)
You’re not vaxxed yet, or you aren’t comfortable in person yet, or you aren’t local so you can’t get to the site?  We will still run a Zoom stream as well!  Zoom link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/181948351?pwd=KzN0ZEI1YW8yNlczQm1zYXJudnlvZz09 (ID: 181 948 351 / Pass: 522008)

Leather3rd Thursday Leather Social —  In Person!
Diesel (1413 14th Ave., Seattle), 7:00–10:00 pm
Come socialize with Seattle Men in Leather.  Gear highly encouraged but not required for this event.  The sign in sheets are always on the corner of the beer rail just to the right as you enter the bar.
Did you see that?  We are back to having an in-person leather social!  Woo!  While the CDC has removed mask requirements for vaccinated individuals — please get vaccinated, guys! — the state still maintains some requiremeeeents for businesses regarding capacity, table service, and number of individuals at a table, so this won’t yet be the fully resumed leather socials we remember, but it’s a step along the way.   Please comply with these regulations so that we can walk the path back towards normalcy.

Country-Western DanceStomptown Community Meeting
Dance With Joy Studios (8051 SE 16th Ave., Portland), 7:30–8:00 pm
We’re moving quickly towards some sense of the Before Times, with our first all-vaccinated Partner Dance this past Friday!  A warm welcome to old friends and new dancers alike!  The Stomptown Board is devoted to making sure the dancing environment feels safe, inclusive, and respectful.  This includes safety and dignity issues like choice of leading or following, and respecting pronouns.  As part of the process of becoming a 501c(3) not-for-profit organization, Stomptown will be adopting a formal policy on Conduct and Safety.  We have been waiting for dancers to return before starting this conversation, and with the return of our Partner Dance this seems like a good time.  We want to hear your opinion!  Please let us know your thoughts on dignity, respect and safety issues in this survey: https://forms.gle/b3YssLKTCqfnuEnd7.  We will hold an In-Person and Zoom meeting before our dance on June 18th to discuss the results and hear your opinions on what should or should not be included in our community standards.  We’ll also have a Zoom-only meeting on June 23rd for those that can’t make it.

PuppyPDX PAH Puppy Mosh: Digital Mosh
Online via Zoom (from Portland), 3:30–6:00 pm
Come in all your favorite gear, bring your chew toys along, and munch on treats and snacks.  You can even wear the spiky collars and shoes that you can’t at our regular moshes!  We will be using Zoom, a video chat platform that allows up to 100 users to tune in at a time.  All you need is a computer or phone that allows you to tune in; if you don’t have a video camera or mic, you can still chat with folks and see what is happening on the screen.  This format also lets you create a custom username so people can see you by your pet or scene name instead of a legal name.
Notes:
1) Please wear bar-friendly gear.  Tail plugs are ok.
2) This will be a strictly 18+ event.
3) Please refrain from heavier BDSM and sexual play.  While we are all adults, not everyone is comfortable seeing that and you never know who may be tuning in on their lunch break.  Fetish gear, restraints, and light play are okay.
4) While we love squeaky toys and barks and howls, please be mindful of getting them too close to your mics.

Online via Zoom (from Tacoma), 4:00–5:30 pm
About MAsT South Sound: We are an inclusive and integrated group and would love for you to come talk with us about the fundamentals of healthy power dynamics.  We won’t pretend to know the answers, but instead offer a starting point for discussion in the hopes that we may all reach greater personal and relationship growth.  All types, statuses, labels and identifiers welcome!  After MAsT: Sometimes the conversation is so good that we want to keep it going!  Develop deeper connections and relationships and enjoy further discussion over dinner.  Location: To be announced after meeting.
This month: Share your story!  We talk about a lot of serious stuff here but sometimes it’s good to remember that we are here because it makes us happy too!  I have several sub-topics to go through from best bruises to top rope ties. Come share your voice, time, memories and laughter with us.  And hopefully come away with some deviant and delicious ideas, too!  We look forward to this casual and fun conversation.

BikersBorder Riders Motorcycle Run —  Pride Weekend
Lewis and Clark Trail State Campground (Dayton, WA — near Walla Walla), cost TBD
The club was there for a weekend a couple of years ago and the riding opportunities in the area are fantastic.  Lewis and Clark Trail State Park is a 36-acre camping park with 1,333 feet of freshwater shoreline on the Touchet River.  Like an oasis in the middle of the desert, this lovely forested park on the banks of the Touchet River refreshes visitors with its unusual vegetation and geology surrounding arid grassland.  Rich in history, the park has interpretive displays with information about explorers Lewis and Clark and original area homesteaders.  The campsite has restrooms and showers.  Unlike many parts of Eastern Washington which are flat and straight, there are some interesting roads in the Palouse and Walla Walla hills.  Campsite is 5.7 miles west of Dayton and 4.4 miles east of Waitsburg on Highway 12.

We are very happy to announce that partner dancing is returning to Stomptown, and that vaccinated dancers can go maskless on our Partner Dance nights and without Social Distancing!  We will be holding vaccinee-only dances (see accommodations below if you cannot or will not be vaccinated), and the State requires that you show a vaccine card or photo of your vaccine card one time, after which you won’t need to show your card at future events.  Fully vaccinated means it has been at least two weeks after your second dose for the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or after your one dose for the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.  See Facebook event for details about dancers who cannot/will not be vaccinated.
This week: Two-Step lesson from Jeffrey.  DJ Azure.
Leather1st Friday Leather Social
Online via Zoom (from Seattle), 8:00–10:00 pm TBD
Join us on Friday night for an online version of SML’s 1st FridayLeather Social.  We will use the Zoom video conference system, complete with breakout rooms so smaller groups can chat more easily.  Gear up, grab yourself a beverage (adult or otherwise), and join us for some quality leathermen time.  Gear It Up!  This is a leather (and such) social, so it’s time to break some gear out of the closet and drawers and bins — something casual, or full BLUF formal, if you like.  Rubber, puppy, uniform, whatever floats your kink boat that night!  Bigger screens are better, of course (we’re all size queens in our way!), so if you have a tablet or laptop, that’s better than a phone.  And if you can cast to your TV, so much the better.)
Zoom link will be provided to SML members via email and in the Facebook on the day of the event.

WorkshopSome of the Demos!
Onine via TBD (from Seattle), 7:00–8:30 pm / $15 (buy in advance TBD)

We have a water bottle filling station.  We now accept contactless payments by Venmo, Paypal, Zelle ,and credit card.   We can accept cash but we cannot offer change.  If the amount is prohibitive for anyone, we have scholarships available and no one will be turned away for lack of funds.  Since there is a cap of 12 dancers, it is first come, first served but you can preregister to reserve your spot by email.  Can’t make it in person?  We still want to see your beautiful face! We’re back!

Leather Flag line
This information is aimed especially at the Seattle gay male leather community.  Some events are included which might be seen as non-gay, non-male, and/or non-leather; they are included due to the perceived breadth of people who may visit this web page and the crossover nature of events of those types with the gay male leather community.
About Out-of-Town Events: These events are listed below a green line for each date, and include both events throughout the Pacific Northwest (Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and British Columbia) and larger-scope national events (especially those which will be attended by some members of Seattle Men in Leather).  For out-of-Seattle events, we typically only list the most prominent ones (socials, board meetings, and the like).  Activity listings for those groups and those regions may provide a broader listings of events.
About Bear, Rodeo, CW Dance, etc., Events: As above, we pick and choose which of these events to include.  All Seattle-area events are included, but only prominent regional and national events are listed.  (As a rule of thumb, we list board meetings and events at leather bars, but not munches, non-leather dances, etc.)  Activity listings for those groups and those regions may provide a broader listings of events.
About Pansexual and Workshop Events: Also included in the calendar are a selection of events primarily aimed at the kinky straight or pansexual community, but appropriate for or welcoming of gay male (and GLBTQ) leatherfolk. Typically, these are workshops which are not specifically heterosexually themed, but a fewplay parties and weekend events are also included where appropriate. Keeping in mind the gay male leather intent behind this calendar, we list events which have an obvious attraction for and are clearly welcoming of the gay male leather crowd.  (Many “pansexual” events really have nothing to recommend them to gay male leatherfolk: we might not be turned away, but why would we attend?)  Decisions about what to list are informed by the text and imagery of websites and event announcements; if you feel that your event truly should be of interest to gay male leatherfolk and is not currently being listed, please contact us (and check the text and imagery you make available).
Leather Flag line
Send your event details to us. We will try to list all leather/fetish events expected to be of interest to the GLBTQ leather community, including both one-time events and recurring ones.  Include the event name, date, time, location, cost for the event, and contact info, plus a short description if available.  Deadline for sending items to be included in the weekly e-mail version of the calendar is Monday at 6:00 pm (Pacific time).  Items and corrections provided at other times will be inserted into the online calendar as they are received (and as we have time).
Disclaimer #1: SoundsKinky is not responsible for either the events listed here nor for the accuracy of the information included.  We apologize if we fail to include your event, but we’re only human.  Sometimes events, vacations, work, and life get in the way.  And you darn well better get it to us before the deadline if you want it in the listings!
Disclaimer #2: Seattle Men in Leather (SML) includes events from other organizations on this list as a service to the community.  Only events which are specifically hosted by Seattle Men in Leather qualify for the SML activity rewards program.
