Rain City Jacks is where guys masturbate together in Seattle.  We are a private club for men, 18 years of age and older, who want to jack off openly and safely in a uniquely sex-positive, non-discriminating and mutually respectful community.  No penetration of any kind is allowed.  The fundamentals are “no lips below the hips” and “nothing goes inside anybody’s anything.”  Membership is required to attend any RCJ event and enrollment is available at the door for every regular club gathering.  (First-timers are allowed in early and must arrive between 6:45 and 7:45 to sign up and receive new member orientation before joining the event in progress.  Make sure you bring your photo ID and cash.  A 30-day trial membership is available for first-timers.)  Rain City Jacks provides the time, place and everything a man needs to fully enjoy masturbation with a group of genuine, like-minded men.  You should come.
Theme: Fap Tuesday.  It’s Mardi Gras!  This year, we just happen to be hosting on the Big Day so we invite you to wear a mask while you penis!   Yep, this is an extra themed event for the month, so we’re keeping it super simple.  Just wear any kind of mask (a Mardi Gras-appropriate style would be great) while you enjoy the usual parade of bloated dongs.  Win a free pass!   At one point during the event (after check-in closes so everyone has a chance), we will do a random drawing to award free passes to three members who have masks on during the event.  To qualify, you must be in the playspace and wearing a mask.  That’s it!  Participate in this theme and your next one might be free.  Masks may not be worn during check-in.

This is a skill share activity.  There is no predetermined technical instruction set up for each practice.  On occasion, a mini-workshop is offered by an experienced whip enthusiast to highlight something they find interesting and wish to share.  For those that are new or nearly new to whips, and do not own a whip, there is often an extra whip or two that can be borrowed.  Where other participants in attendance are willing, you may get to experience throwing their whips if you ask nicely (depending upon their preference to share or not).  Some of us are quite partial to our whips, ya know!  Bring your juice or caffeinated beverages as you will get thirsty during practice.  Water is provided as well a plastic cups but you may want to provide your own container.  It is requested that alcoholic beverages be left at home.  MVK, which sponsors this event, the venue (Wise Hall) and/or the host(ess) assume no responsibility for any injuries incurred while attending the practice.  It is entirely at the attendee’s risk.

QueerPDX Queer Munch
Radio Room (1101 NE Alberta, Portland), 6:00–8:00 pm
This munch is for anyone who identifies as queer and their partners.  By queer, we mean gay men, lesbians, fags, dykes, bisexuals, pansexuals, and polysexuals along with transfolk, those who are genderqueer, gender flexible, gender fluid, and gender fuckers.  If the word queer feels like home for part of you or all of you, you are welcome.  And when we say “partner” , we mean everything from play partners to life partners.  The Portland Queer Munch will happen every month on the first or second Thursday (depending on scheduling options).
The space is wheelchair accessible and the menu has lots of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options (and all clearly labeled!).  There is plenty of free street parking and the 72 bus will drop you off within a block of The Radio Room.  The munch will meet on the main floor instead of in the lounge areas so that we won’t be limited to 21+.  This does mean that we can’t be too demonstrative about our kink so as not to scare off their other patrons, but the venue is completely aware of what our group is about and is happy to have us there!  Please buy something to support the venue so that they’ll keep having us back.  They do know that not everyone will be ordering food/eating full meals, but please do get a drink or a snack.  Bottomless coffee is $2, and an order of fries is $3, to give you an idea of the prices.

WorkshopMaking An Impact: Whips, Canes, Spanking, and Other Hitty Things
Lover’s Lair (4001 198th St SW #7, Lynnwood), 7:00–10:00 pm / $25 (buy online)
Does the thought of a good spanking make your knees weak?  Have you wondered how that singletail whip might feel against your skin?   Do you know the difference between a flogger, a cane and a paddle?  Impact play is a big part of many people’s kink, whether its sensuous, erotic, challenging, or cathartic.  All types of impact play share common elements, and each has its own unique flavor.  Join Max for an impactful journey through the various types of impact toys as he shows you how to create a variety of sensations and scenes.  Max will cover technique, safety, shopping for toys, and how to match your intention to your practice.  You’ll see and experience toys from Lover’s Lairs’ extraordinary selection and from Max’s private collection.  We’ll also discuss how to use your built-in impact toy — your hand. Whether impact play is used for pleasure, pain, discipline or power exchange, the options are unlimited.   If you’re just starting to explore your kink, why not add it to your BDSM repertoire?  And if you’re a seasoned kinkster, join us and learn a few new tips !  The workshop includes demos on attendee volunteers.  If you’d like to see what the various toys feel like, there will be plenty of opportunities.  This workshop assumes no previous BDSM experience and is appropriate for all genders, all orientations, and for both tops and bottoms.  As with all of Max’s workshops, a handout will be provided to help you remember what’s been said.  Class size is limited — buy your tickets early to reserve your spot.  Attendees can purchase anything in the store at a 20% discount after the workshop, making this a great opportunity to take home toys to practice what you’ve learned!

MenRain City Jacks
Gallery Erato (309 1st Ave S, Seattle), 7:00–9:30 pm (doors close at 8:00 pm) / Price based on membership level ($5 off for CSPC, NW Bears, and SML members or students; cash only)
Rain City Jacks is where guys masturbate together in Seattle.
It’s Theme Night!  Rain City Jacks returns to monthly themes with Tighty-Whities, a more focused take on our usual underwear events.  All members are invited to bring and wear basic white cotton briefs in the playspace.   Nothing fancy this time… we’re all about the erotic energy of these basic male underpants tonight.  Do you have a set that’s a little old, a little worn, a little stained?  Bring ’em.  Just make sure they start out clean.  It won’t take long before the fabric gets moist with pre-cum, smeared with lube and soaked with cum.  All members still wearing their tighty-whities in the middle of the event — the most active time in the playspace—will be automatically entered in a random drawing for one of three free event passes.  Event passes are good for admission to one event and expire one year after being awarded.  Event passes may only be used by an active, dues-paid member of Rain City Jacks, but are transferable and redeemable by anyone, including a first-time member.  Event passes are rewarded on the spot to winners of the random drawing.  See you Tuesday and don’t forget your tighty-whities!   You can email any questions to us at info@raincityjacks.org.

Puget Sound Pizza (317 S 7th St., Tacoma), 6:00 pm–12:00 midnight
Info: (no event listing available)
Join folks from the local kink and leather communities as we gather together for some great conversation over a glass of your favorite beverage or a hot slice of pizza.  Meet new folks, catch up with old friends, share information, techniques, skills, and the like.  This open event is a great way to find out about local events, parties, or to just grow your own personal network.  No guided discussions, no presentations, just relaxed conversation with some great folks.  This event is held twice monthly, on the 2nd and 4th thursdays, at one of Tacoma’s favorite pizza joints, Puget Sound Pizza.  While it is open to the public, we tend to take over the entire lower bar.  Dress is casual public.  Eating dinner is not required and tips are appreciated.  NOTE: This is an 18+ event and not a topic discussion group.  If this is your first time attending please say hello to our host Sir Doug so that he can properly welcome you!  If you don’t see Sir Doug around, please introduce yourself to any of the SSLA Members in attendance (we are usually wearing a leather vest with a SSLA patch on the back) or our surrogate co-host, Maxx who also hosts the Kinky Cocktails & Karaoke afterwards.  We want to have the opportunity to say hello, welcome you, and answer any questions that you might have!

Gallery Erato (309 1st Ave. S, Seattle), 6:00–8:30 pm / $5–10 donation
Come to a women-centered Rope Enthusiast Group.  Practice ties, show off new ties, ask questions about rope practices and issues in a warm and fun environment focused on women tops, bottoms, and switches.  Or just hang out and socialize!  There is a lot of experience here and all the support and encouragement you could ask for!  If you knit and want to bring your knitting, go right ahead!  It is, after all just really small rope, right?  Similar to other rope enthusiast groups, WREG is a place for the ladies to work on their rope bondage skills and techniques.  It is a place for our community to practice, learn, and share.  We encourage you to bring books, questions, friends — anything that will help facilitate your learning.  WREG is open to everyone but with a primary focus on women and female-identified folks.  Men and male-identified folks are welcome to act as practice bottoms for rope work.  Also, chocolate.  If you want to bring something to share, bring chocolate.  It is always appreciated.

The Olympians are a social club for gay (and straight but not narrow) men who enjoy the freedom which comes with nudity.  The group gets together in whole or in part on a monthly basis.  We call these “events”.  They are not necessarily “parties” but potluck functions, which consist of a meal and dessert, followed with social interaction and “other” forms of contact, including physical.  These events are usually hosted in the homes of Olympians’ members, but a few times a year held in a rented space, with complete respect to be given to the owner’s property at all times.  We always want the events to be a pleasant experience, as sharing the company of several other nude men can be.

Gallery Erato (309 1st Ave. S, Seattle), 6:00–9:00 pm / $5–10 donation
Men Tying Men is a rope bondage enthusiast group for men and for people with lived experience as men.  Its aim is to be an excellent place for us to share bondage techniques and resources and to bring our latest projects for feedback and troubleshooting.  Not a play party (clothes are required), but a chance to talk bondage, to practice bondage, to learn and teach bondage and to network with other bondage obsessives.  Men of all experience levels are welcome — including those with zero practical experience.  The facilitators will always be available to answer questions and to gently guide the conversation.  Single men, couples, and groups are welcome.  We will always try to make sure that everyone who wants to join in at practice times will have that opportunity.  Our venue is Gallery Erato. It has great wrestling mats for our floor work, places to sit during our discussions and hard points for suspension practice.  It’s perfect for what we need.
Men Tying Men meets on the 3rd Wednesday of the 2nd month of each quarter: February, May, August, and November.

WorkshopAll The Demos!
Private location in Seattle, 7:00–10:00 pm / $35 (buy in advance)
Presented by Max.  This is a highly interactive event, mostly comprised of demos on attendee volunteers.  It provides a safe and informal space to observe, experience, learn, and discuss a number of kink activities.  After a brief introduction covering scene dynamics, negotiation and safety, volunteers have opportunities to bottom to Max for demos which may include:
• Rope bondage
• Electrical toys — violet wands, TENS/ErosTek, stun guns and zappers
• Needles / temporary piercing
• Pressure points
• Floggers
• Singletail whips
• Canes
• D/S and service dynamics
• Leather & metal bondage (including hoods)
• Cages
• Erotic hypnosis
Each demo will include some time for a debrief and Q&A.  This is a great workshop for anyone curious about kink, as it’s an unusual opportunity to see many different types of play up close and personal.  It’s also valuable for more experienced kinksters who would like to see a professional demonstration.  And it’s a great opportunity to meet Max and to do a demo scene with him, of course.  This workshop assumes no previous experience, and is appropriate for all genders and orientations.  You can bring a partner or a group of friends, but coming alone is completely comfortable and appropriate.  If you miss this workshop or want a deeper experience, Max also offers private instruction for bondage and many other BDSM techniques.  Class size is limited and preregistration is required.

LeatherwomenQueer Women-Centric Leather Social
Wildrose Bar (1021 E Pike St., Seattle), 7:00–10:00 pm
This event puts queer Leather women, their partners and guests to the front!  If you are a queer leatherwoman or an active supporter of the women’s leather community, you and your queer guests are welcome!  Come on out, every 3rd Friday at the Cuff Complex in Seattle!  Invited guests do not need to identify as women but must identify as queer and leather and support the purpose of having centric space.  Many of us want a space that simultaneously is for women while allowing space for those we care about.  Above all else, this is a space for and by the queer women’s leather community.  While that includes allowing space for the partners and close friends of women, please be respectful of the women-centric nature of the space.   While this event can run past 11:00 pm, the atmosphere can switch on weekends and we may not be able to maintain a woman-centric space later in the evening.   As this monthly event grows, we will have the opportunity to provide space for queer women’s organizations and events to host each month’s social, increasing awareness of events and spaces that might be unknown but of interest to Leather women while providing opportunities to expand, fundraise, and have fun!  If you are interested in hosting a monthly social and are a club, organization or event focused on women in the LGBTQ+ and leather communities, please reach out! We would love to share space with you!
Leather Pride week and the Washington State Leather Organization’s Contest weekend take center stage in the month of March.  Instead of skipping a month and missing an opportunity to enjoy each other’s company, we are invading the Wildrose!  Come join us on Wednesday for the Leather Pride edtion of the social!

This information is aimed especially at the Seattle gay male leather community.  Some events are included which might be seen as non-gay, non-male, and/or non-leather; they are included due to the perceived breadth of people who may visit this web page and the crossover nature of events of those types with the gay male leather community.
About Out-of-Town Events: These events are listed below a green line for each date, and include both events throughout the Pacific Northwest (Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and British Columbia) and larger-scope national events (especially those which will be attended by some members of Seattle Men in Leather).  For out-of-Seattle events, we typically only list the most prominent ones (socials, board meetings, and the like).  Activity listings for those groups and those regions may provide a broader listings of events.
About Bear, Rodeo, CW Dance, etc., Events: As above, we pick and choose which of these events to include.  All Seattle-area events are included, but only prominent regional and national events are listed.  (As a rule of thumb, we list board meetings and events at leather bars, but not munches, non-leather dances, etc.)  Activity listings for those groups and those regions may provide a broader listings of events.
About Pansexual and Workshop Events: Also included in the calendar are a selection of events primarily aimed at the kinky straight or pansexual community, but appropriate for or welcoming of gay male (and GLBTQ) leatherfolk. Typically, these are workshops which are not specifically heterosexually themed, but a fewplay parties and weekend events are also included where appropriate. Keeping in mind the gay male leather intent behind this calendar, we list events which have an obvious attraction for and are clearly welcoming of the gay male leather crowd.  (Many “pansexual” events really have nothing to recommend them to gay male leatherfolk: we might not be turned away, but why would we attend?)  Decisions about what to list are informed by the text and imagery of websites and event announcements; if you feel that your event truly should be of interest to gay male leatherfolk and is not currently being listed, please contact us (and check the text and imagery you make available).

Send your event details to us. We will try to list all leather/fetish events expected to be of interest to the GLBTQ leather community, including both one-time events and recurring ones.  Include the event name, date, time, location, cost for the event, and contact info, plus a short description if available.  Deadline for sending items to be included in the weekly e-mail version of the calendar is Monday at 6:00 pm (Pacific time).  Items and corrections provided at other times will be inserted into the online calendar as they are received (and as we have time).
Disclaimer #1: SoundsKinky is not responsible for either the events listed here nor for the accuracy of the information included.  We apologize if we fail to include your event, but we’re only human.  Sometimes events, vacations, work, and life get in the way.  And you darn well better get it to us before the deadline if you want it in the listings!
Disclaimer #2: Seattle Men in Leather (SML) includes events from other organizations on this list as a service to the community.  Only events which are specifically hosted by Seattle Men in Leather qualify for the SML activity rewards program.
