BearsBear Invasion of Sunday Social Bowlers
West Seattle Bowl (4505 39th Ave. SW, Seattle), 10:10 am–12:30 pm (arrive at 10:10 am to warm up) / $9.50 (includes shoe rental; $6.50 if you have you own bowling shoes)
The Sunday Social Bowlers is a GLBT bowling group that has been meeting nearly every week for over fifty years.  We offer a casual, just-for-fun environment and are comprised of bowlers at all skill levels from beginner through expert.  Many of us are Bear-identified.  The West Seattle Bowl offers a family-friendly environment that is equally GLBT-friendly — they host multiple GLBT bowling leagues each week in addition to the Sunday Social Bowlers.  Plan to arrive around 10:10 so you’ll have time to pay, say hello, and get your shoes on.  Warm-up bowling starts at 10:20. The first game starts at 10:30; we play three consecutive games.  If you’re running late, come anyway — you’ll be able to hang out with us through the remainder of the first game and then join us for the second and third games.  We’re usually done by 12:30.  If you know the night before that you’ll be coming, please send an e-mail to a079436@yahoo.com so we can give the bowling alley a rough idea of how many lanes to reserve for us.

LeatherPDX Queer Munch
Radio Room (1101 NE Alberta, Portland), 6:30–8:30 pm
This munch is for anyone who identifies as queer and their partners.  By queer, we mean gay men, lesbians, fags, dykes, bisexuals, pansexuals, and polysexuals along with transfolk, those who are genderqueer, gender flexible, gender fluid, and gender fuckers.  If the word queer feels like home for part of you or all of you, you are welcome.  And when we say “partner” we mean everything from play partners to life partners.  The Portland Queer Munch will happen every month on the first or second Thursday (depending on scheduling options).
The space is wheelchair accessible and the menu has lots of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options (and all clearly labeled!).  There is plenty of free street parking and the 72 bus will drop you off within a block of The Radio Room.  The munch will meet on the main floor instead of in the lounge areas so that we won’t be limited to 21+.  This does mean that we can’t be too demonstrative about our kink so as not to scare off their other patrons, but the venue is completely aware of what our group is about and is happy to have us there!  Please buy something to support the venue so that they’ll keep having us back.  They do know that not everyone will be ordering food/eating full meals, but please do get a drink or a snack.  Bottomless coffee is $2, and an order of fries is $3, to give you an idea of the prices.

LeatherVancouver Men in Leather Whistler Retreat
Tyrol Lodge (5302 Alta Lake Rd., Whistler, BC) / CDN $120
Get away from the city.  Get away from the bars.  Come out and join us for our Whistler retreat.  Vancouver Men in Leather takes over the Tyrol Lodge to provide a casual and relaxing space to enjoy the company of other fetish men.  Whether it is your first time and you want to learn more or experienced and want to have somewhere to have fun without the worry about getting home afterwards, this is your place.  If this is your first time, don’t worry.  You can watch or participate as you are comfortable.  There are no expectations or requirements for the retreat.  Come as you are, have fun, and join in as you like.  VML is founded on the brotherhood first and foremost and everything else builds on that foundation.  We have equipment all throughout the lodge for all (most) kinds of play.  Its more fun when you participate, so bring up your gear and toys.  If you have equipment that you think would add to our event, we will be glad to help bring it up and back.  If you don’t find the right hanky, we have a large common space to socialize in and acres of private space around us.  Take advantage of Whistler’s many amenities, or join us for outdoor events to take advantage of a rare space we have available to us.  We provide Fri/Sat dinner and Sat/Sun brunch.  Bring your own alcohol.  Sleeping is bunk-bed style that is assigned first-come first-serve.  You will need to bring your own bedding (sleeping bag and/ or sheets and a blanket and a pillow).  For those who prefer camping outdoors, we do have space for tenting.

This information is aimed especially at the Seattle gay male leather community.  Some events are included which might be seen as non-gay, non-male, and/or non-leather; they are included due to the perceived breadth of people who may visit this web page and the crossover nature of events of those types with the gay male leather community.
About Out-of-Town Events: These events are listed below a green line for each date, and include both events throughout the Pacific Northwest (Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and British Columbia) and larger-scope national events (especially those which will be attended by some members of Seattle Men in Leather).  For out-of-Seattle events, we typically only list the most prominent ones (socials, board meetings, and the like).  Activity listings for those groups and those regions may provide a broader listings of events.
About Bear, Rodeo, CW Dance, etc., Events: As above, we pick and choose which of these events to include.  All Seattle-area events are included, but only prominent regional and national events are listed.  (As a rule of thumb, we list board meetings and events at leather bars, but not movie nights, munches, dances, etc.)  Activity listings for those groups and those regions may provide a broader listings of events.
About Pansexual and Workshop Events: Also included in the calendar are a selection of events primarily aimed at the kinky straight or pansexual community, but appropriate for or welcoming of gay male (and GLBTQ) leatherfolk. Typically, these are workshops which are not specifically heterosexually themed, but a fewplay parties and weekend events are also included where appropriate. Keeping in mind the gay male leather intent behind this calendar, we list events which have an obvious attraction for and are clearly welcoming of the gay male leather crowd.  (Many “pansexual” events really have nothing to recommend them to gay male leatherfolk: we might not be turned away, but why would we attend?)  Decisions about what to list are informed by the text and imagery of websites and event announcements; if you feel that your event truly should be of interest to gay male leatherfolk and is not currently being listed, please contact us (and check the text and imagery you make available).

Send your event details to us. We will try to list all leather/fetish events expected to be of interest to the GLBTQ leather community, including both one-time events and recurring ones.  Include the event name, date, time, location, cost for the event, and contact info, plus a short description if available.  Deadline for sending items to be included in the weekly e-mail version of the calendar is Monday at 6:00 pm (Pacific time).  Items and corrections provided at other times will be inserted into the online calendar as they are received (and as we have time).
Disclaimer #1: SoundsKinky is not responsible for either the events listed here nor for the accuracy of the information included.  We apologize if we fail to include your event, but we’re only human.  Sometimes events, vacations, work, and life get in the way.  And you darn well better get it to us before the deadline if you want it in the listings!
Disclaimer #2: Seattle Men in Leather (SML) includes events from other organizations on this list as a service to the community.  Only events which are specifically hosted by Seattle Men in Leather qualify for the SML activity rewards program.
